Here's my new favorite site. It's called Makes Me Think (MMT)- Today's Thought-Provoking Life Stories.

I especially like this one:"Today, during a talent show at my high school, an autistic girl sang 'Stand By Me.' In the middle of the song she got flustered and forgot the lyrics. Almost simultaneously, the entire audience of students stood up and started singing the lyrics and helped her through the rest of the song. She had the biggest smile on her face and took a bow. MMT"

If you've never been to Andy's Bargain Mart on Cleveland Hwy (about 3 miles north of N2N) you've been missing out! It's been around forever but now it's under new ownership.

A nice young couple named Angela and Kerry have bought it and they're busy bringing in new merchandise (including food items and toiletries) and setting the place in pristine order. I stopped in last week and found the coolest reading glasses ever-- for 79 cents each!

They're open Tuesday- Saturday. Swing by when you have a sec. You'll be glad you did!

Whatcha eatin' ?

My favorite cookbook author is Stephanie O'Dea. She's published two books of slow cooker recipes and is a frequent guest on Good Morning America. She also has a great blog in which she used her slow cooker every day for a year and published the recipes, even the flops!

This week's recipe is for a great snack called Nuts and Bolts Trail Mix.

Computer Problems?

Arthur says that if you have an old computer- whether a desktop or laptop- and you have data on it that you'd like to have removed or copied, he can do that for you.

If you've recently changed computers or plan to soon, he can extract those photos and documents you may have thought were lost for good. Well, they are not lost and your computer may even be salvageable. Let him take a look at it. He can also replace a small or defective hard drive or add a second one if you've run out of storage space.

He reminds you that just as with your car, your computer requires periodic tune-ups, usually twice a year. He can clean the junk from your system, check it for viruses and malware and make it run faster. Even if you think yours is running fine, he can make it run faster. His rates are reasonable and he stands behind his work.
