Hot enough for ya'?
We're still putting out wonderful summer fashions. Of special note are our ladies' XL and plus racks and girl's half sizes. There are cute size small tops and some gorgeous business/church dresses, too. Actually, there's lots of everything. Thanks so much to all of you for telling your friends and family about N2N- we're getting in new shoppers every day and almost all of them were sent by one of you!
Let's do the Wild Card Sale again. Pick a card to find out where your 30% off discount is. It could be pants and shorts, shoes and bags, infant wear, dresses and sets, even storewide...who knows? And we believe in do-overs. If you don't like your first card, feel free to draw again!
There's CA$H in your closet!
Each week, we'll be doing cash buying for one area in the shop that really needs inventory. This week, it's SCRUBS.
Here's how it works... bring your scrubs that are in perfect condition. We'll buy them for cash. You can bring in other clothing and accessories as well- we'll buy them for credit as usual. Please pack your scrub pieces separately and let us know that you have cash items when you come in. Buying hours are the same: Monday thru Thursday 10AM to 4PM and other times by prior arrangement.
We'll be buying scrubs for cash all week- through Thursday, July 16th. Check next week's newsletter to see what the next buy-for-cash department will be.
Not the Coke Lady, but CLOSE!
Many of you are familiar with the Coke Lady (so named because of her employer) who brings us wonderful plus sizes from time to time. Today, I did a plus size appointment that rivals the Coke Lady's in both quality and volume. The sizes are 2X, 3X and 4X. The shoes are 9 and 9.5. There are dresses, tops, capris and slacks. Come check it out soon- it won't last long!
My husband, Arthur, and I each write twice-a-month columns for The Gainesville Times. His deal with computing and technology issues. Mine deal with whatever strikes my fancy.
His latest was published on July 4th. Click
here to read Arthur's piece on data phishing .My June 26th column is about some folks selling a bundle of three sticks as dog toys- and making a tidy profit from it, too . Click here to read.
Win a Home in the Country!
How would you like to own a 4200 sq. ft. log home on five secluded acres outside of Toccoa? How about if it only cost $105.00? Impossible? Not really...
My cousin, Angela Dyer, and her family are the home's owners. Right now isn't the optimum time to have $1M house on the market. After trying to sell for a couple years, they're now trying a different approach. They're RAFFLING the house off. The tickets are $100.00 each plus a $5.00 service fee. 7500 tickets will be sold.
The odds of winning a Megamillions jackpot are 1 in 175,711,536. The odds of winning Angela's house is 1 in 7500. I like those odds.
The raffle is being handled by Seed Sowers, a charity that works with people with special needs. To see all the details, pictures and specs on the house and the raffle, click here. In the words of the New York Lottery: Hey, you can't win if you don't play.
If you know me, you know how I feel about community theatre. It's a magical, economical way to introduce your children to culture that doesn't come out of a cable. This week there's so much to see:
There's "The Music Man" at the Historic Holly Theater in Dahlonega. Click here for more info.
There's "Annie Warbucks" at the GHS Performing Arts Center, a Pam Ware Summer Community Theatre production (need I say more?) Click here to read the Times article and for more info.
Not to mention: "Headwaters: Birth, Death and Places In-Between," at the Sautee Nacoochee Center. Click here for more info.
Coming soon: "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood," a production of Fifth Row Center at the Presentation Point Outdoor Amphitheater at Lake Lanier Islands. Click here for details.
Road Trip!
Planning a road trip? Be sure to check out http://www.roadsideamerica.com/.
You'll find offbeat attractions like Babyland in Cleveland, the tree that owns itself in Athens, the tick museum (I'm not making this up!) in Statesboro and lots more.
It's organized by state so you can plan your whole trip with lots of fun, off-beat stops. The next time we visit Molly in Mississippi, I want to stop at the grave of Miss Baker the space monkey in Huntsville and see the spooky face in the courthouse window in Carrollton, AL.
What's your favorite roadside attraction? Let us know...and bonus points are added for sending pictures!
