Latest Columns

My husband, Arthur, and I each write twice-a-month columns for The Times here in Gainesville. His deal with computing and technology issues. Mine deal with whatever strikes my fancy.

Arthur's latest was published on September 4. Click

My September 3rd column is about the origins of Labor Day.

Etiquette Hell

Etiquette Hell is the Internet’s largest repository of over 6,000 firsthand bad etiquette stories submitted by ordinary people who are tired of the selfish, rude antics of their fellow man...and the stories make for hilarious reading because, of course, WE would never act like that!

Etiquette Hell is a unique collection of what people find most offensive in their interactions with friends, family and co-workers but are too courteous to actually say it to their faces. Click here to take a look.

They're asking all of their Facebook friends (over 1500 at last count) to give $5.00 or more. There's a donate button on their FB page. The funds will go to buy new food and water bowls for their animals.

Here's the deal. If you haven't already, please click "like" on the
The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia FB page. Then donate $5.00 (or more) by clicking on the arrow next to the Links button and scroll down to "Support our..." Print out your PayPal confirmation (or you can just run a contribution by the shelter on Ridge Road and get a receipt.) Bring it with you the next time you come to N2N. We'll give you a $5.00 store credit--and maybe throw a little confetti.

That's like making a donation for FREE!

Please share this with all your Facebook friends...I'll keep you posted on how it's going. As of today, they've raised $110.00.

Computer Problems?

Arthur can fix your computer, rid it of viruses and malware or tune it up for you. He'll make it run faster than it did when you first bought it. You can drop it off at N2N or he can do a house call. He writes a column on computer care for The Times every other Saturday. You can visit his blog at http://computerhousecalls.blogspot.com/ to see an archive of columns, searchable by keywords.

Most times he will have your computer back to you within two days and his rates include a free follow-up phone consultation.

Call Computer House Calls at 770-540-5100 or email him at arthur@glazerthepctech.com. Your computer will thank you.

That's it for now. Remember-email goes both ways...
