There's something for everyone- plus sizes, infantwear, some beaded formals in size XL if you're looking for a last minute prom dress, Chico's fashions in size large and XL (or as Chico's says it, 3 and 3.5), teen wear (all the much-loved mall brands) in XS and S, unusual costume jewelry and a wall full of toddler fashions. Improv This!, North Hall High School's improvisation team, presents a showcase of off-the-cuff talent featuring the senior members. Think "Whose Line Is It Anyway" with a hometown twist. The performance is Tuesday, April 20 at 7:30 pm in the school theatre. Admission is $5.00
North Hall High School's Hollow Horse Players present Stephen Schwartz and John Caird's "Children of Eden", a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children and faith freely based on the story of Genesis. It is a frank, heartfelt and often humorous examination of the age-old conflict between parents and children. Adam, Eve, Noah and the Father who created them deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. The show ultimately delivers a bittersweet but inspiring message: "the hardest part of love is letting go."
Dates are April 29 and 30 at 7:30 pm and May 1 and May 2 at 2:30 pm at Brenau University's Hosch Theatre in the John S. Burd Center

West Hall High School's Spartan Players present "Thoroughly Modern Millie", a story of a small-town girl who comes to New York City to marry for money instead of love – a thoroughly modern aim in 1922, when women were just entering the workforce. Millie soon begins to take delight in the flapper lifestyle, but problems arise when she checks into a hotel owned by the leader of a white slavery ring in China. Shows are at 7 p.m. April 29- May 1 and 2:30 p.m. May 2 Performances will be in the high school theatre at 5506 McEver Road in Oakwood. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. If you know any woman currently undergoing chemotherapy, please pass the word to her that there is a cleaning service that provides FREE housecleaning - one time per month for four months while she is in treatment. All she has to do is sign up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment.

Wise Words
SMITH Magazine, the online community for personal storytelling, posed the challenge: Can you tell your life story in six words? Tens of thousands of people responded, and the six-word memoir was born.
Forty-two years ago the only advice famous fictional graduate Dustin Hoffman needed came in one word: plastics. Since then, the world has gotten a little more complicated. Thankfully, though, some of the best advice remains the simplest. Thousands shared the favorite half-dozen words of wisdom they've either given or received. Here are a some favorites:
Books and dogs make good companions.
Forget head, heart. Go with gut.
Greatest things in life aren't things.
When cookies are passed, take one.

Speaking of Cheryl: her daughter, Lindsay, is an EMT and a paramedic student at Lanier Tech. Last week she got to show off her acting skills as one of the "victims" in the “Fatal Vision,” program put on by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. Click here to see the Times article.
