Good morning!

What's on Sale?

Monday- Thursday and Saturday, it's the Wild Card Sale!

Choose a card and get 30% off a particular department (ladies' pants, menswear, infant's clothes- you get the idea.) There's even one card for 30% off your entire purchase!

And of course next Friday is not the FIRST FRIDAY of the month, but the way the days fall, the first Friday in May isn't until the 7th- and that entirely too long to wait for a half price sale... so plan on stopping in for our regular First Friday sale on the LAST Friday:

Storewide
Half Price Sale
Friday, April 30
10 AM-6 PM
50% off
original price
unless already priced less.
Cash, credit/debit card or check only, please.
You can use your store credit but the discount won't apply.

New columns

My husband, Arthur, and I each write twice-a-month columns for The Gainesville Times. His deal with computing and technology issues. Mine deal with whatever strikes my fancy.

His latest was published on April 17th. Click
here to read Arthur's piece on a free alternative to Windows.
BTW- do you have computer questions and you're not sure who to ask? Drop Arthur an email (support@glazerthepctech.com) or give him a call at 770-540-5100. He'll be happy to help. Don't be shy- he lives for this stuff.

My April 16th column is about learning how to loosen the apron strings. Click here to go to it.

Field Trip!

Mark your calendar- N2N's having a FIELD TRIP! Here's the deal: twice a year, the Cleveland-White County Optimist Club holds a $6.00 Jewelry Sale. It's a bargain cavalcade of necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, purses, even reading glasses.

Could you wear the same dress for 365 days?

Sheena Matheiken wore the same dress every day for 365 days (to be fair, she had seven copies of the same dress, so at least she could rotate them) as part of The Uniform Project. The Project is both an exercise in sustainable fashion and a fundraiser/publicity tool for
Akanksha, a foundation that funds schools for Indian children growing up in slums. Click here to see the video and check out Racked for an interview with her.

This week's recipe

I love black beans- they're cheap, tasty and oh-so good for you. It's a win-win situation. Real Simple magazine has a great recipe for Cuban black beans and rice. They make great quesadillas the next day, too!
